Lexicon’s Bloggers Fest

The Lexicon Blog is titled ‘ADDENDUM’. Addendum stands for an additional piece in adjunct to main script (The Lexicon Magazine). We understand and respect the serendipitous timing of creative work of writers. The best piece of article is produced just then! It is to honor this talent of writing regardless of the topic, perspective and state that Lexicon had launched ‘Addendum’ in February 2014. The blog earns as many as 6,000 readers and over 800 daily views across the globe. We celebrated the spirit and talent of all bloggers by launching the first ever ‘Lexicon Bloggers Fest’ that was held from August 15th 2015 to October 1st 2015.


•3rd International Student Meet on Public Health 2015

The 3rd International Student Meet on Public Health (ISMOPH 2015) is a satellite event of the 14th World Congress on Public Health (WCPH 2015), which is organized by the World Federation of Public Health Associations (WFPHA) and the Indian Public Health Association (IPHA) and co-sponsored by World Health Organization (WHO).

The Student Meet is a vibrant forum organized by the Student Assembly of Public Health, India (SAPHI) in association with International Federation of Medical Students’ Association (IFMSA), African Public Health Students association (AfPHSA), American Public Health Association- Students Assembly and Lexicon – The Medical Magazine to be held on 9th and 10th February, 2015 at Science City, Kolkata. 

ISMOPH 2015, an international event for students at different stages of their educational endeavors from different disciplines of public health, including modern medicine, nursing, social sciences, veterinary sciences, environmental sciences, dentistry, alternative medicines and others, will serve as a platform to bring together students to study, strengthen, and advocate for “Healthy People- Healthy Environment”. Click here for details.

• International Young Microbiologist Competition 2014

We The Microbiologist, India‘ and ‘Microbiology World, Nepal‘ have teamed up with ‘National Academy of Young Scientist (NAYS), Pakistan‘ for an International Event – International Young Microbiologist Competition 2014. IYMC 2014 will choose three young candidates from any nation as the Young Microbiologist of the year by solving a mystery of microbiological science and the idea will be highlighted in respective magazines of the organisations. Entry is open only for Graduates and Post graduates who are having a background of Microbiology, Biotechnology and related backgrounds of Life Sciences. The mode of this competition is online.

• There Is No I in Eye – The Photography Contest

September 2014

Lexicon- The Medical Magazine & Blog organized its second contest in its 2 years of existence and the response was immense! We shortlisted entries for “There is No I in Eye”- The Photography Contest that was organized in September. There were 2 categories of submission : A) In Hospitium and B) Abstract. We had received a huge response in both the categories from different parts of the world but the panel shortlisted 26 best entries and we had uploaded them on our facebook page  for the world to view and pick their favorites. There are 6 prizes that we are giving away. The winners are finally declared and you will receive your certificates shortly.

• 3rd JoCACiS 2014 – Argentina

September 2014

Lexicon’s first ever International event coverage- The third JoCACiS 2014 that was conducted in La Rioja, Argentina from 26th-27th September 2014. It was a Two Day Medical Research Conference that showcased quite a few healthcare workshops and a participation of over 300 Argentine Medical Students. • 2014 National Essay Competition

January 2014

 Lexicon organised its first competition under the auspice of Dr.Mohan’s Diabetes Education Academy, Chennai which is also a WHO Collaborating Centre to celebrate Lexicon’s First Anniversary Edition – The Bitter Sugar.
